1 --- My Christmas doesn't usually ooze calm. ▣
대개 나의 크리스마스는 평온한 느낌을 발산하지 못한다.
▶ 1 Samuel 14:26 --- When they went into the woods, they saw the honey oozing out, yet no one put his hand to his mouth, because they feared the oath. ▣ 백성이 수풀로 들어갈 때에 꿀이 흐르는 것을 보고도 그들이 맹세를 두려워하여 손을 그 입에 대는 자가 없으나 ■ 2 --- Paul is urging the Corinthians to value or strive after, above all, those gifts which are the most effective for upbuilding. ostentation rather than beneficial things, was rife among them.(Ref. 1 Cor. 12:31) ▣
바울은 고린도인들에게 강하게 권하면서 무엇보다도 몸을 세우는 데에 가장 효과적인 은사들을 추구하고 존중하라고 말한다. 왜냐하면 유익한 것들보다
과시하려는 데에 더 신경을 쓰는 잘못이 그들 가운데 팽배해 있었기 때문이었다.
■ 3 --- If the fear of God is strong in us, we shall not indulge ourselves or allow ourselves to be carried away by overweening insolence, as the Corinthians did. ▣ 하나님을 두려워함이 우리 안에서 강하면 우리는 고린도 사람들이 그랬던 것처럼 우쭐대는 오만함으로 그릇 행하는 일에 탐닉하거나 그러하도록 허용하지 않을 것이다.
overweening 너무 교만하고 자신만만한
▶ Proverbs 21:24 --- The proud and arrogant man-- "Mocker" is his name; he behaves with overweening pride. ▣ 무례하고 교만한 자를 이름하여 망령된 자라 하나니 이는 넘치는 교만으로 행함이니라 ■ 4 --- Uncleanness represented not being whole, and if not wholesome, then
ostracised and an outcast. ▣
부정(不淨)은 온전치
못한 것을 대변했고, 건강해 보이지 않으면 추방되었고
내쫓긴 자가 되었다 |
