■ 1 --- Imagine a door tightly shut, then another one slightly ajar. Now picture a door flung wide open. How 'open' are you to having an encounter with God? * [문이] 살짝 열린 ■ 2 --- ¶ 1 Corinthians 12:3 "Therefore I tell you that no-one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no-one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit." Jesus be cursed can be translated 'Jesus [is] a curse' or 'Jesus [grant] a curse' for the two words are lit. 'anathema Jesus'(Cf. 16:22). * 저주; 저주 받은 사람[것]; [또는 an ~] 아주 싫은 것 ■ 3 --- I continue to be an avid reader of Christian books and have a regular teaching ministry in our church, but I'm strongly aware of the caution in this passage: knowledge alone is not the way to a living relationship with God. * avid reader/listener/fan etc 할 수 있는 만큼 많이 어떤 것을 행하거나 청취하거나 하는 사람 ■ 4 --- The words 'It is I. Don't be afraid' are not to be invested with the aura which other great 'I am' sayings in John convey. * 사람이나 장소를 둘러싸고 있는 것처럼 보이거나 혹 그로부터 나오는 것처럼 보이는 본질이나 느낌 ■ 5 --- When Moses asked God how he was to accredit himself to the leaders of Israel, God gave him the sign of his hand turning leprous and then being healed (see Exodus 4:6-8). * (자격, 신용 따위를) 승인하다, (합격을) 증명[인정]하다 ¶ Acts 2:22 --- "Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.■ 6 --- She says that she constantly takes her inner pain and distress to Jesus, and he enters into it and eases it. His presence is such a blessing that her inner pain is ameliorate, and in this way she has discovered a depth of fulfilment that she knows she would otherwise have missed. * formal 어떤 것을 더 낫게 만들다 ■ 7 --- There's no point arguing the toss now. It has already been decided that Jones will be sent to represent the company in Tokyo, not you. * <英口> (의논이 결정되고도) 시비조로 덤비다, 계속 반대하다. |
