나의 신앙 고백

■    저는 유일하신 하나님과 삼위일체 하나님을 믿습니다.
■    하나님은 성경으로 계시하셨고 성경 저자들의 전인적인 삶과 생각과 그들의 시대를 통해 뜻을 나타내신 것을 믿습니다. 그러나 성경은 살았고 운동력이 있어서 그 시대에 묶이지 않으며 전 역사에 적용되는 하나님의 계시인 것을 믿습니다. 또 성경은 하나님의 감동(God-breathed)으로 쓰여졌으며 무오(無誤)한 것을 믿습니다. 
■    아담의 전적인 타락으로 말미암아 모든 인류도 전적인 타락으로 인해 죄 가운데 있는 바, 창세전에 하나님이 당신의 백성들을 택하신 그 경륜을 따라서 하나님의 아들이신 예수 그리스도가 육신으로 태어나 하나님의 뜻에 따라 순종의 삶을 사시고 십자가에서 돌아가심으로써 율법이 요구한 바 죄에 대한 저주를 몸소 받으시어 하나님의 택함 받은 자들로 거룩하신 하나님께 나아가 그 분과 화목할 수 있는 길을 여신 것을 믿습니다.
■    구원은 오직 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음으로 말미암으며 전적이고 주권적인 하나님의 은혜인 것을 믿습니다.
■    하나님은 우리가 죄로부터 구원된 이후에 지속적인 그리스도인의 삶을 살게 하심으로써 예수 그리스도의 형상을 따라 자라도록 미리 정하셨고 그리스도 안에서 구원에 이르도록(grow in salvation) 부르신 것을 믿습니다.
■    하나님의 복음의 계획은 아브라함의 언약 안에서 구체적으로 드러났으며, 처음부터 열방을 그 대상으로 하고 있고, 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 성취되었으며 또 그의 재림 때에 완성될 것을 믿습니다. 그래서 우리는 열방에 흩어진 하나님의 백성을 향한 하나님의 축복의 통로로 살아야 하며, 예수님이 우리에게 주신 지상 명령을 따라 모든 족속으로 제자를 삼고, 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 주며, 하나님의 백성에게 진리를 가르치고 지키게(obey) 하는 사명을 가진 것을 믿습니다.
■    모든 인류에게 하나님의 심판이 있는 것과 몸의 부활이 있는 것과 영원한 천국과 영원한 지옥이 있는 것을 믿습니다.
■    성령은 하나님의 선물로서 예수 그리스도를 주로 고백하는 그리스도인들 안에 내재하시는 하나님의 영이며, 인격을 가지신 삼위 하나님의 한 분인 것을 믿습니다. 우리는 성령을 통해서 진리를 깨달으며 성령을 통해 하나되며 성령의 각양 은사를 따라 그리스도의 몸 된 교회를 세워 가며 성령의 인도를 따라 사는 것을 믿습니다. 
■    성령 충만은 우리 안에 계시는 성령께서 자신을 드러내기를 원하시는 데로 드러내실 수 있도록 우리 자신을 그 분의 뜻에 맡기고 헌신할 때 나타나는 결과이며 그 분의 인격과 상관없이 나타나는 양적인 현상이거나 우리의 감정이나 열정의 결과가 아닌 것을 믿습니다.
■    모든 성도들은 하나님의 부르심을 따라 다양한 은사를 가지며, 그리스도안에서 동등하고, 그리스도의 몸 된 교회를 세워 가는 동역자들요 청지기들인 것을 믿습니다. 그러나 교회 안에는 하나님께서 세우신 질서가 있고 그에 따라 부여하신 권위가 있으며, 모든 성도들은 그 권위에 순종해야 하는 것을 믿습니다. 그러나 어떤 자도 자신을 다른 사람보다 낫게 여길 수 없고 모든 자들이 서로를 섬기는 자들인 것을 믿습니다.
■    하나님의 일 혹은 성도의 사역(ministry)은 교회의 일에 제한되어 있지 않으며 성도가 삶에서 하는 모든 일이 하나님의 부르신 사역인 것을 믿습니다. 곧 거듭난 그리스도인의 일은 하나님의 소명인 것을 확신하며 그래서 일의 거룩함에 차이가 없는 것을 믿습니다.
■    위에 언급하지 않은 모든 사항은 성경에 기록된 데로 믿으며, 성경과 복음을 따르는(biblical and evangelical) 개혁 신학의 인도를 따라 믿습니다.

■    I believe in the Only God, who exists as the Trinity.
■    I believe that God has made His revelation by the Scripture, and revealed His will through the Scripture writers' whole personal lives, thoughts and their times. But I believe that the Scripture is living and active so that it is not bound to their times. It is the all-history-applicable revelation of God. Also I believe that the Scripture is God-breathed and inerrable. 
■    I believe that since the whole humanity is under the sin because of Adam's complete fall, God, according to His providence which He had chosen His people before creation, sent His Son, Jesus Christ born in flesh, who lived an obedient life following God's will and died on the cross by which he took the curse on himself which the law claimed on the sin, so that He has opened the way for the chosen ones to come to Him in His holiness and be reconciled with Him.
■    I believe that the salvation is only through believing in Jesus Christ, and it is God's whole and sovereign grace. 
■    I believe that God has predestined us to be conformed to the likeness of Christ through living a continuous Christian life after saved from sin, and has called us to grow up in our salvation in Christ.
■    I believe that God's plan of the gospel was revealed in details in the Abraham's covenant, had the nations as its target, was accomplished in Jesus Christ, and will be completed in his second coming. So I believe that we should live as a channel of God's blessing to the God's people who are scattered in the nations, make disciples of all nations according to Jesus' great commission to us, baptizing God's people in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them the truth to obey it.
■    I believe God's judgement on all humanity, the resurrection of the body, the eternal kingdom of God and the eternal hell.
■    I believe that the Holy Spirit is God's gift, who is the Spirit of God, who lives in Christians who confess Jesus Christ as their Lord, who is personal, and who is one of the Trinity. I believe that we understand the truth by the Holy Spirit, become one by the Holy Spirit, build up the church, the body of Christ, according to the various gifts of the Holy Spirit, and live by the leading of the Holy Spirit.
■    I believe that the fullness of the Holy Spirit is the result as we commit and lean ourselves on His will to let Him reveal Himself as fully as He would like to, which is certainly not a quantitative phenomena without His person or the result of our emotions and passions.
■    I believe that every believer has various gifts according to God's calling, is equal in Christ and the co-worker and steward to build up the church, the body of Christ. However, in the church there are the order and the authorities which God has set up, so that all believers should obey the order of God. But I believe that no one is not to regard himself/herself as better than any other brothers/sisters, and all believers are the servants to one another.
■    I believe that God's work or the believers' ministry is not restricted to the church work, and all the work that they do in their lives is the ministry that God calls them to do, which means that I believe that the work of the born-again Christian is surely God's calling so that there could not be any difference in the holiness of the work.
■    I believe that all that I have not mentioned above I follow according to what is written in the Scripture and according to the guidance of the biblical and evangelical Reformed theology.
